Sarah Vaile is an Associate Attorney. Sarah joined Bob Good’s practice as an Associate in 2012, as she transitioned from maternity leave to practicing law full time again. Sarah chose to work for Bob because his commitment to serving the local community aligned with Sarah’s preference for public interest law and advocacy. Currently Sarah focuses on managing estate planning, small business cases, and assisting Bob with more complicated family law cases. She brings a wide background of legal expertise and a sincerity of character to her position that puts clients at ease, fosters collaboration, and results in comprehensive representation.
Sarah grew up in the Midwest and graduated from Indiana University with a double major in English and Art History, and a minor in Spanish. In 2007 she earned her JD and Environmental Law Certificate from PACE Law School in New York, a school she chose because of its well-known public service law program. In the past Sarah has served as Law Clerk for the judges in Klamath County Circuit Court and worked as an indigent criminal defense lawyer for the Southern Oregon Public Defender in Medford. She also served as staff attorney for the non-profit land use group Rogue Advocates.
When Sarah is not working, she can be found spending time outdoors with her husband and their two young sons. She is an avid long-distance runner and has competed in local races such as the Siskiyou Outback, Lithia Loop Trail Marathon, Mt. Ashland Hill Climb Run, Granite Man, and Tough as Nails. Sarah serves as Board Chair of Rogue Farm Corps and is also on the board of Friends of Family Farmers. Her commitment to integrating health, family, and her flourishing career reflects the lifestyle values Bob Good and the Ashland community respect. Sarah’s capable, resourceful, and holistic approach to her cases continues to impress her clients as well as the community leaders with whom Sarah collaborates.
